WHAT DOES DADARU MEAN?
Dadaru takes its name from the Arrawaddi language group name of the magnificent Cockburn Ranges, a vast sandstone escarpment that towers up to 600 metres over the surrounding country, providing spectacular views and glorious red-tinged sunsets on soaring cliff faces. Traditional custodians of the land, the Arrawaddi people maintain a strong connection to the Dadaru, King River and Pentecost River region.
